The backbone of this project is skills transfer to local underprivileged children.
General information about our development project. And an opportunity to make the difference in the life of a very talented local child.
You too could pass on your equine knowledge, with our volunteer working gap riding holiday opportunity. Take a gap at Mkulu Kei Horse trails and give back to the local community.

A community development program aimed at imparting horse riding skills to under-privileged black local youth in the Eastern Cape township of Morgan Bay on the Wild Coast South Africa. It is a poverty-stricken community and Mkulu Kei Horse Trails wanted to give back to the area and started our youth development project 10 years ago. The aim is not only to teach the less privileged kids how to ride horses, but to help encourage the children to see and work with animals in a more humane way.

Lalapanzi Adventure Centre, a fun filled
activity centre which falls under the Cher-a-Don stamp of Authenticity.
And now gives us at Mkulu Kei the opportunity
to offer horse riding in the game to experienced riders and facilities
for pony camps.
At present activities include abseiling,
obstacle course and team building, hiking both in the Gugura river
and on the game farm, canoeing on the farm dam and raft building,
bush art, volley
ball and paintball.
In time we will be adding more activities.
Ideal activity as a school outings or for team
building and pony camps.
