When Cheryl started Mkulu Kei horse trails, she was determined to have riding horses & ponies for all riding abilities, to promote horse riding and offer tuition. At this riding stable / school, you will be surprised, as a beginner, how quickly we can get you comfortable on a horse and teach you the riding basics. As a more accomplished adult or child rider you will be amazed at how responsive, trained and forward moving the horses are.

Each riding instructor will have a different way of teaching you to ride a horse; we make horse back riding fun, giving you horse riding techniques to be safer on a horse even just as a holiday or weekend rider. With us you can get riding tuition on your out ride comprising the basics of riding and we can help you be comfortable near horses. All our horses are patient and trained so you will find a mount to suit your riding ability, from novice to advanced. We depart from the stables together, but split into different riding levels within the ride, giving each visitor the chance to manage a pace they are comfortable with. Although we would like to see you increase your speed, we are more than happy to walk if you are only comfortable going slowly and ambling along. The accomplished riders will not be held back as they will be in another riding group, setting a faster pace. Single riders to large groups welcome.
